CMBI's "Power BI for Excel" 2-day course introduces you to some of the most powerful data analysis capabilities within the Excel environment, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
Leverage your Excel knowledge
If you or your team are spreadsheet gurus then nothing short of full spreadsheet functionality will do. Power Pivot is an end user data integration and analysis tool that can be used to automate even the most complex reports and analytics whilst remaining completely within the Excel environment.
Using Power Pivot, users can quickly automate routine reporting and analysis because they are already familiar with the spreadsheet tool and data. They can continue to use the spreadsheet to create the layout and presentation but the content will now update automatically when the underlying source acquires new data.

Each workshop is presented as a series of practical exercises, that give attendees hands-on experience of all aspects of Power BI. All our training exercises are supported by detailed course materials for reference during and after the training day.
Materials and support
Our course materials support learning and re-enforcement well beyond the workshop.
Each session includes an associated set of support materials to help attendees complete the tasks on the day, as well as provide support after course completion:
- Supporting course notes PDF document (approx 90 pages, printed on request)
- Complete Power BI models for all exercises
- Datasets for all examples
- Optional Q&A time at the end of the session for anyone interested in asking specific questions
