Comparing Fabric and Power BI
Microsoft Fabric includes and extends Power BI. Microsoft Fabric is a bundle of products under a single license that includes Power BI but also enterprise data storage, data integration tools and other advance data management features.
Clients can start with Power BI and may find that Power BI alone is sufficient for their requirements. Microsoft Fabric is appropriate where we need to integrate and store larger data sets from multiple systems and where requirements are moving closer to a data warehouse solution. In this case, Power BI alone may not be sufficient. However, Power BI does have comprehensive data integration functionality, and whether we use Power BI or Fabric, it will always include Power BI for the reporting and data visualisations.
